Robert Troutman is the director of web development at the National Retail Federation. In this role, he is responsible for all of NRF's web properties. He works closely with the marketing and conferences teams to bring their ideas and designs to life. In addition, Troutman provides technical leadership to the web development team and the IT organization.
Troutman began his career in hardware development and has held several engineering management positions in the telecommunications industry. He is a co-inventor on several patents and has been involved in multiple startups. Troutman came to NRF as a temp in 2009 after a stint working for Purple Communications, a provider of ASL interpreters. He became an NRF employee in 2010.
Troutman has a BSE in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University. He currently resides in Delaware.
